...the big question when updating your facebook status.
facebook is one of the biggest social networks. it caters to all ages; even grandparents have facebook accounts.even businesses made their own accounts to reach their market. i know it is such a convenient communication tool for people keeping in touch with their friends and families but sometimes,sometimes--i feel it's a pretend of yourself.
facebook is where you can update your latest whereabouts, photos, thoughts etc. it is obviously a tool where you can show people how you like to be presented.it is how you advertise yourself. -- put photos that make you 10 pounds slimmer, shout out how you excel in your job or even post photos of your newly bought gadgets/stuff. this is the greatest tool to make people like you more (relying also on the number of likes and comments you get on your updates). For some they even tag their friends on their own photo even if the friends are not on the said photo, just so to make sure that they get a comment or reaction. some also will press the "like" button on their own posts just so to make a point that it-is-likeable. (hello? of course you like it, you posted it!)and for some it is an opportunity to boast. (if you are really that great or rich, people will see;you don't need to proclaim it yourself--he who boasts, does little..(one of my favorite quotes))
there is nothing wrong with having an account. just not too much of this--trying to be someone online. I read a study that shallow people posts more photos and have more friends on facebook. no, i am not a bitter person :) i also have friends of my own, but you know, i still stick on the real ones, the ones who know where to reach me even without facebook,OR the ones who really know my birthday without the birthday announcement on fb.
that's what's on my mind. :) this will be too long for an fb status. lol
