Pirates of the Caribbean 2011.
Jack Sparrow is back, and like any other excited kids, I forced my mom to treat me this movie ticket. Good thing she has already watched the Aga Mulach-Angel Locsin movie.. that gives her no option but to watch Pirates. (with me and my sister) :)
I liked the film. It's a feel good movie for me. Disney yet again captured the hearts of their market. Honestly, I am one of those kids who secretly wants to be a pirate. Aye! Aye! Captain :)

The mermaid sequence was my favorite of all. The portrayal of the mermaid may change the image of the red head Ariel (Disney's Little Mermaid). But as we follow the Greek mythology, we all know that sirens or mermaids are sea nymphs who seduces sailors using their enchanting music and beautiful voices to wreck their ships.
Here is a scene where they kidnapped and kept the mermaid in a self-made aquarium. They needed her tears for the water (Fountain of Youth) to work.

The young Astrid Berges-Frisbey was very effective in portraying her role. She is my new girl crush. Now I am tempted to download her 2008 film-- The Sea Wall and Elles et Moi.
