I have always been a fan of the product, I have not experienced every model of ipod, iphone, mac for the reason of not having enough money to buy myself one.
The only product of apple that I own is the latest ipod nano. Every other apple experience is by borrowing my brother's gadgets.
Every year Apple releases software presentations (Steve Jobs' show and tell about the latest model) , my brother downloads it and we watch it together. We even saw lately a video about an old mac presentation.
August 2011. I was sad to hear about Steve Jobs leaving the company (His rule-- if he can't handle anymore his responsibilities as a CEO,he would leave his post). It was about 6 years ago when he was diagnosed with Cancer. And just yesterday, October 6, 2011, I found myself crying in front of the computer. Steve Jobs has already passed. Different articles, photos, quotations of him can be found online.
It might not be a big impact for some, but it was a big impact for me. I always looked up to him. He was always my inspiration. It was more than just Apple products, Pixar and Pong-like game (Breakout). He was a visionary, he made one step to the future, his works inspired any other brands of mobile phones, tablets, mp3 players and computers; but he remained humble.
I will never forget the black shirt and jeans outfit. And he never talked about himself in interviews, all he talks about is the product. He was an icon, everyone admired him, not because of his personal/controversial life, but because of his skills and talents. He is for me the greatest inventor/scientist/genius of our time. I wish that his name be part of the History books so the kids of the future will be informed of his works.
You did great Steve Jobs.Thank you. Rest in peace.
Do what you love. keep looking don't settle.
Your time is limited, don't waste it by living someone else's life
-Steve Jobs 2005
